2019 eyewear trends for Autumn

Now the clocks have changed, it’s time to start thinking about trends for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter season. In eyewear there are 4 key themes…

‘Cats eye’ frames…

…are very big again this season and the feline look can be seen in many of the collections. The upswept look may not be for everyone but when it is it can look spectacular. William Morris have some wonderful examples in a variety of colours and styles.

Thick Colourful frames…

…can really catch the eye. Colours such as red, purple or classic black in a heavy style can really make a statement about who you are and what you like to wear. Colourful frames are very popular at the moment so why not have a spare pair in a different colour to make sure you have something to match every occasion! Oliver Peoples, Rayban and Polo Ralph Lauren all have lots of styles to suit this trend.

Geeky glasses…

…have been around for a while and are here to stay it seems. The frames are usually larger and whilst most are available in a good classic tortoiseshell colour, some have the addition of a funky animal print somewhere subtle just to make you stand out from the crowd!  Geek chic can be found in every range from Whizz kids children’s wear to Schott USA, and most of the brands in between. A wide range of colours stlyles and sizes are available.
